What is CONADEPOA?

CONADEPOA (National Council for the Development of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples) is a National Council that connects, protects, and promotes ancestral knowledge, worldview, history, culture, and traditions of Mexico’s indigenous communities. Our commitment is to generate integral, sustainable, and equitable well-being for all families, both within the country and in any region of the world.

Our Structure and Reach

CONADEPOA is backed by 68 ethnic groups across the country, with presence in all states of the Mexican Republic, representing indigenous and Afro-Mexican governance. Additionally, we are allied with nations across all continents and have Goodwill Ambassadors in several countries. Our decision-making follows customs and traditions, supported by a council of Wise Elders and a democratic and fair National Structure, recognizing everyone as equals and strengthening unity and brotherhood among peoples.

We Are Community

We work with strength and determination to unify the peoples of the world into a single sovereign indigenous nation, respecting each cosmogony and ancestral knowledge. We recognize the potential for balanced growth in territories, aligned with sustainable development and environmental protection, building together an awakening toward a new earth grounded in respect, love, and solidarity.

Cultural Diversity and Multiculturalism

At CONADEPOA, cultural diversity and multiculturalism are the foundation of our identity. We promote strength, unity, truth, and freedom, guided by awareness of our origins and the commitment to serve the community, always with deep respect for Mother Earth and collective well-being.
